Marcus Aurelius Advice If You're Tired Of Life

His path was full of obstacles.

There is unfairness, and then there’s Marcus Aurelius’ life.

He experienced the loss of his children, witnessed plagues, floods, and wars, and even had his closest friend and wife betray him.

Surrounded by corruption and ambition, he often felt tired and frustrated, just like any of us would.

Despite his struggles, Marcus didn't give up.

Instead of blaming others or feeling sorry for himself, he found solace in staying active and focusing on his work.

He also sought help from his teacher, Junius Rusticus, when he needed it, showing bravery in facing his challenges.

In his words, “Asking for help is the opposite of giving up. And what if you’re a wounded soldier needing medical help to throw yourself back in the battle?”

Even though suicide was common in his time, Marcus chose to keep going.

He reminded himself of why he was here and what he needed to do.

His job was to be good and fulfill his potential.

By finding purpose and joy in his life, he showed that it's okay to feel tired and overwhelmed sometimes.

It’s not okay to give up.

No matter what you're going through, remember that you're not alone.

The very people we study, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca, found the strength to keep going and laid down their advice for us to follow.

They knew that future generations would face similar, or worse, problems.

They were right. That’s why Stoicism has seen a resurgence in recent years.

Remember, even the strongest people need support sometimes.

Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or professionals if you're struggling.

Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.

Whether it's going for a walk, reading a book, or practicing mindfulness, finding activities that bring you joy and relaxation can help you recharge and face life's challenges with renewed energy.

In the end, Marcus Aurelius' message is clear: despite the hardships we face, there is always hope and strength within us to keep going.

So keep pushing forward, and remember that you are capable of overcoming anything life throws your way.

In Marcus Aurelius’ words, “Anything that’s humanly possible is attainable by you too.”

Thank you.
